Heather KCAI (CD)

Kennel Club Accredited Instructor GH2150239 MAPDT 01599KC
KC Asssessor for Working Gundog Certificate
I have been training dogs for 20 years plus and before setting up Cheshire K9 training I volunteered at over 5 different training centres for nearly 10 years to gain as much knowledge as I could about different breeds and how they learn. As a trainer being able to read a dogs body language is important and I work with each dog as an individual as they are all different.

I am a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor KCAI (CD) and a fully qualified member (ATI) with the ADPT.

I compete with my own 5 dogs in Obedience, Agility and Gundog and in 2022 and 2024 made it to the Crufts finals gaining a 2nd and a 3rd place in the obedience ring competing in obreedience.

I am also a Kennel Club registered agility judge and when I am not teaching, running training camps, or competing myself I am travelling round the UK judging at shows.

Dogs are literally my work, my hobby, my life!

Amie

Hi, I’m Amie. I’ve been dog training for over 20 years. I started with a Labrador cross, doing competitive obedience. Moved onto competition agility with my German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP), who took me to finals at both Crufts and Olympia.  After retiring her, I changed into the world of gun-dog work and scurrying with my 2nd GSP and Weimaraner, who still holds the scurry bandits title for fastest single retrieve over 100 yards.

I am now the proud owner of GSP’s Norbert and Niffler who are both training towards competition obedience and agility

As I come from a family of dog trainers, I am also a qualified Good Citizen Dog Scheme assessor of Bronze, Silver and Gold. Which all my previous dogs have accomplished.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all in classes really soon.

Marion

I am Marion and I assist with the obedience classes. I have been training my two working cockers for the last 6 years, I have passed many obedience assessments with them and I am working towards competition obedience and agility.

I am learning all the time as training methods change regularly and I have learnt so much over the last 6 years that I want to pass this on to new owners and their puppies so they can achieve and be proud of their dogs like I am of mine.

Jodie

Hi I’m Jodie I began my obedience journey with my first GSP Molly who is now retired, I loved the breed so much I decided to get another GSP Ivy who I have now trained up and is ready to compete this year at some obedience shows, she is also gundog trained although we only do this for fun.

This year I will be joining Heather in the Crufts Obreedience Finals. I am looking  forward to helping you with your dogs in our obedience classes.
