Scent detection has been used for many years with dogs trained to search for drugs, bombs, firearms, cash and in recent years for medical alerts.
Sniffing and searching can have a calming influence on dogs so detection work is so good for reactive dogs or dogs who suffer with anxiety but what’s great about detection training is any dog, any breed, any age can do it!
